Transport overview

Traralgon is the commercial centre of the Latrobe Valley, located 160km east of Melbourne along the Princes Highway. Spectators can choose to park close to the venue or take public transport provided by V/Line trains from Southern Cross Station in Melbourne to Traralgon Station where an accessible and spectator shuttle bus will operate to the venue.

Live Site

A Live Site, featuring Festival Melbourne 2006 events, performances and live broadcasts of the Opening and Closing Ceremonies and competition events, will operate in Latrobe for the duration of the Games.

The Latrobe Live Site will be located in Moe at the Moe Racecourse and is expected to draw large crowds particularly for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies and on weekends. Details of Live Site operating times will be available closer to the Games.
