Glossary of terms
| Controlled Access Points |
A vehicle position along a road course where pedestrian and vehicular traffic can cross a closed road at certain times under direction from official Games staff or the police. |
| Familiarisation session |
An event where athletes become familiar with the course before race day. The course will need to be established prior to the session but road closures will be kept to a minimum. |
| Half-road closure |
Entry/exit from the road is confined to one lane. Vehicular access to half-closed roads is limited to local residents or businesses. |
| Accessible shuttle |
For spectators with mobility needs, either a low-floor bus with wheelchair access or a mini-bus with an hydraulic lift platform. |
| Accessible / spectator shuttle |
Shuttles for all spectators including spectators with accessibility requirements. |
| Accessible drop off and pick up |
An area for members of the public to drop off and pick up people with accessibility requirements. |
