As part of the ongoing legacy from hosting the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games, much of the high-quality sports equipment used will ultimately be distributed among clubs and associations across Victoria.

Balls, nets and even the temporary athletics track at the MCG will be help to build the capacity of clubs to provide better service to members, as well as giving people the chance to play with the same equipment used to win gold.
